Day 2 - Kevin Nasseri, Anesthesiologist

Kevin Nasseri, PGY-3 Anesthesiology Resident from Loma Linda Universitty didn't make it in the group picture on Day 1 so we thought we'd feature him today.  Kevin was the first one in the OR the day we arrived and the last one to leave.  As soon as we hit the campus, Scott conscripted him for cases while we unpacked out gear.
Shortly after we all went to bed on Monday evening, Kevin was called back to the OR by the obstetrician and was up all night doing cases.  When we awoke the next morning we were surprised to see his cot empty.  In short order he appeared and crawled into bed for a couple of hours before we drug him back out to do our ortho cases all day long.
He not only provides us with great anesthesia (5/5 with spinals so far) he's a willing wound irrigator and has even become proficient with the electric mosquito swatter while bagging the patient with the other hand!
The bottom line is that we would be nowhere near as productive without competent and cooperative anesthesia coverage and we are grateful that Kevin's Program Chairman, Robert Martin, permitted him to join us.
L to R, Kevin, Zack, Jim, Pete, and Scott.  It truly has been a team effort so far.

  3. Kevin,

    Thanks for your great contributions!

I am an anesthesiologist and I will be coming to the Hopital Adventiste April 17 with Cure International.

It looks like you are fairly well equipped. I was planning on bring a lightwand, nerve stim for blocks, and insulated block needles. Should I bring them or leave them at home?

    Any other advice?

    Thanks!
