As the four-month anniversary of the Jan. 12, 2010 Haiti earthquake approaches, CBC News helps put a human face on the tragic events with the creation of an interactive website. For Canada, the tragedy was one of the largest losses of life of Canadian civilians from a single disaster. To date, the federal government has confirmed 58 Canadians killed in Haiti. CBC News contacted family and friends of those lost to offer a way to tell their stories. The result is this website, which will continue to grow as more tributes are left and more stories are told. Through writing, still photography and on-camera conversations, family members and friends share their personal memories and reflect on the lives and contributions of the Canadians who died in the quake.
